After relaxing on the dog beach, we set off for Rostock. The most easterly point of Germany that we visited. People seem to enjoy it when we explore something new every day.
This is what our day in Rostock looked like:
On the map you can see that we were in Rostock and by boat in Warnemünde. But first things first.
Rostock (harbour)
After parking, we were right at the top of the street – funny street name.

City Sport Utility Vehicle
That’s why you need an SUV in the city! All the others would probably have been drowned.

Harbour dogs
The harbour dog graffiti is great! We had to stand by it!

Lucien is wearing his captain’s hat!

But I only got a sailor’s cap. That’s not fair. But it goes perfectly with the sailing ship!

Lunch
We opted for a tour of the harbour.
As there was still some time to go before our boat left, my nose took us to a place to eat. Fish how delicious!

Look at my master’s delicious fish fillet! I want some of that too!

Maybe my mum’s bread roll is easier to get hold of.

Shit, she knows what I want to do

Off to Warnemünde!
Then we waited for our boat.

Master Let’s dance!

Then came the Kasper Ohm. She is so big and beautiful.

Once on board, we took a short breather:

Collie on deck!
Then it was off to the deck! I had a look around the harbour. There’s something new to see everywhere.

Why do I only get the sailor’s cap?

Below deck
After a little while, we went back below deck. Lucien tried on his hats:

Although he didn’t want to wear the captain’s cap, I was only allowed to have the sailor’s cap! So mean! Why do I only have to be the junior officer?

Hmmm… I think this chair is seasick.

Mum give me the liverwurst!

Jolly Roger
Then we got Jolly Roger out! You can’t just hijack a ship.

Theft!
Then I captured the captain’s cap! Then it was called usurpation of office! But as punishment I had to go on deck and scrub…

Warnemünde
The ship stopped in Warnemünde and we left it. Unfortunately, we didn’t have much time to see everything. There was only one more ship travelling back.
Hi Mr Fish! Are you a shark?

There is rain protection for people here. Unfortunately nothing for us.

What is this path? There’s sea everywhere and a lighthouse over there.

Westmolenfeuer
Let’s take possession of it!

Information Centre North East
This here is the Adele. Adele was the daughter boat of the rescue cruiser Vormann Steffens. It is now moored.

Warnemünde lighthouse
Another lighthouse here, the sea must be dangerous!

Why can’t I be included in the photo?

Souvenir pin
We have been given a pin. It will also look nice on Sebastian.

Back to Rockstock with the Rostock 7!
The return journey was on another ship. The largest in the fleet.

On the deck
Now I finally have my own captain’s hat and the sun is coming out!

Neptune shipyard
So that’s where the ships come from.

Below deck
Now we can finally get some rest.

Get out
Now we have to give up our sea legs again. But it was nice not to have to walk for once.

Rostock city centre
Then we made our way to the city centre.
The water tastes so good!

Tourist Information
Wow, they have a mini lighthouse with an aquarium in the tourist information centre.

Rain
Of course, it then started to rain.

Let’s explore the shop, it’s dry there!

Dinner
Then people found delicious food and waited for a break in the rain.

Street art
Wow why does it smell like a dog now and not a cat?

Rating Rostock
Rostock is beautiful. A harbour tour is recommended.
Journey
The journey was unspectacular.
Experience
The trip to Warnemünde was great. But you should plan more time.
Dog suitability
We dog sitters were allowed everywhere, on the ship we were admired and spoilt.
