As the sun is shining again, we thought we’d visit the next castle. It’s called Kalkhorst. The castle also has a tree university just like the one in Westbirt. I didn’t realise there was such a thing in Germany.
The castle
Look at the beautiful brick castle. It must have been a lot of work to stack so many bricks.
And look how small I am in comparison…
Arboretum
This tree university is more like a tree college. Lucien was less impressed because he had already been to a large arboretum in England. For me, it’s full of great new smells.
Oh, there lives a horse family, a human family or a mushroom family… Humans, why do you call everything the same thing?
Return journey
And then it starts raining again. Quickly into the car.

The journey was uneventful.

The dog rider can take a relaxing walk in the tree university.
