Day 5 Lübeck

We travelled on to Lübeck. How far does the lady want to go today? I was surprised when we ended up in the middle of a city festival for our break here. Look what we saw.

Medieval market

There was a medieval market in Lübeck as part of the Hanseatic Culture Festival! Of course we had to go!

While Gavriel and his mistress worked on a souvenir, I (Lucien) and my master looked around.

Blubberblub’s bubbles in big! Humum, you have to do something like that for us!

So many people on one journey is exhausting.

Even if it’s the last food on the market… Lady I want my share!

Holsten Gate Lübeck

The Holsten Gate is the coat of arms of Lübeck. It is quite impressive. Can we take a closer look at it later?

Lübeck marzipan store

Mum really wanted to take a culinary highlight for humans with her. The stuff is sweet and is called marzipan. It consists of almonds, sugar and sometimes a chocolate coating. Dogs are therefore not allowed to try it. However, my veto that it makes you fat and everyone has to exercise more was ignored.

Market and old town

Then we had a look at the city centre. Unfortunately, the festival was already coming to an end. We had just arrived a bit late. Why did people have to dawdle so much in Kiel

In addition to many things to see, there were also new things to hear. It’s exciting what sounds people can make.

And even if you raised your head, there were interesting things to see!

St Mary’s Church Lübeck

Another landmark of Lübeck. It makes you feel very small.

The souvenir shop was still open. My mum bought me a new Target.

Fish street

Japanese fish are flying around everywhere here! We brought one back from France once. But I’ve never seen so many. They are so beautiful.

The authorities are not difficult to find either. The red door and the coat of arms give them away quickly. The data protection and women’s authorities are hidden behind a door.

Back at the Holstentor Lübeck

Now let’s take a closer look at the gate. But it’s exhausting to cross all these big roads.

Wow, such a big cannon! Let’s pose in front of it! But it’s a bit impractical that the heavy thing is lying on the ground.

Lion statue

Poor lion aren’t you feeling well? Oh, you’re much better now. But please stay seated, don’t let the humans get scared.

Useful information

You can find information on the Lübeck tourism page.

The marzipan is very tasty and you have to take it with you as a souvenir.
